The City of Hurst evaluates the condition of every street each year. Determinations are made as to which streets will receive what type of maintenance program based on street paving condition ratings.

One type of street paving maintenance rehabilitation is a 2-inch hot mix asphalt overlay that provides a smooth riding surface along with enhanced durability and stability to the street.

2016 Street Resurfacing

In March of 2016, the Street Division and Tarrant County Precinct #3 staff re-surfaced 2” of asphalt on Melbourne Rd. from Bedford Euless to Cheryl Ave., Hurstview Dr. from Harwood to the access road and a reconstruct of the street on Yates Dr. from the access road to Bedford Euless. This summer, the Street Division staff re-surfaced 2" of asphalt on the following residential streets: Plainview Dr. from West dead end to Cavender Dr., Plainview Dr. from Cavender to East dead end, Redbud Dr. from Precinct Line Rd. to Carnation Lane, Ponderosa Dr. from Precinct Line Rd. to Ridgecrest Dr., Ridgecrest Dr. from Redbud Dr. to Briarwood Lane, Redbud Dr. from Ridgecrest Dr. to Lorean Branch Bridge and Val Oaks Ct. off of Hurstview Dr.
