Lifeguard - $10.00/hr

IMG_4690Join our award winning Lifeguard Team! This opportunity is great for those who love to be outside, interact with people, and learn new skills. No need to pay for an expensive certification, we have you covered. We train and certify all of our staff in-house, free of charge through Ellis and Associates. Applicants for this position MUST be 16 years of age by June 7, 2020.

All lifeguard applicants MUST be able to attend one full lifeguard training class:

The lifeguard class teaches you how to effectively prevent and respond to water emergencies. You will leave the class confident in your ability to react in a variety of scenarios.

  • Class #1 - April 23-26
  • Class #2 - April 30-May 3
  • Class #3 - May 7-10

Swim Lesson Instructor - $10.00/hr

Do you love teaching and working with kids?! This is the job for you! As a Swim Lesson Instructor you are responsible for planning and teaching swim lessons for a variety of ages and skill levels. Don't worry, no experience required. We will train you in-house, free of charge! However, we do recommend that you are a strong swimmer. Applicants for this position MUST be 16 years of age by May 23, 2020.

Pool Attendant - $9.00/hrIMG_5960

Our Pool Attendants are the backbone of Hurst Aquatics! Our pool attendants are always on the lookout for ways to improve our park and offer excellent customer service. Our Pool Attendants are in charge of slide dispatch and help maintain the cleanliness of our park through tasks such as picking up trash and straightening furniture. If you like working with your hands and aren't afraid of a little hard work, then this job is for you! Applicants for this position MUST be at least 16 years of age by May 23, 2020.

Pool Cashier - $8.00/hr

cashOur cashiers are the face of the Hurst Aquatics Centers! Cashiers handle admissions fees, are knowledgeable about all park rules, and have great customer service when interacting with guests, both in person and on the phone. Applicants for this position must be outgoing, friendly and communicate well. We want to provide our guests with an experience that exceeds all expectations, and that begins at the front gate! Applicants for this position MUST be at least 16 years of age by May 23, 2020.

Head Guard - $11.00/hr 

Our Head Guards are leading examples at the aquatic centers. They work to ensure the safety of our facility through evaluating lifeguard scanning, and performing operational safety audits. They also take care of lifeguards by  ensuring they are have everything they need to do their job well. Head Guards are part of our leadership team and help to create a positive and fun culture for all staff. Head Guards are expected to work lifeguard shifts as well as Head Guard shifts.

Pool Manager - $12.63/hr IMG_6292

Our Pool Managers are responsible for ensuring the safety of our aquatic centers through direct supervision of the facility and all staff. Pool Managers MUST have great communication skills, interact well with others and bring a positive energy to the park and staff. Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Instructor Certification preferred, but not required.

Learn to Swim Coordinator - $12.63/hr

Our Learn to Swim Coordinator are the acting managers on duty during all swim lessons. Learn to Swim Coordinators must have great communication skills, interact well with others and bring a positive energy to swim lessons and staff. The Learn to Swim Coordinator will assist in the training of all Swim Lesson Instructors and ensures that swim lessons are safe, fun and productive. An Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Certification and at least one summer of swim lesson instructing experience is required. Lifeguard training can be provided upon hiring if need.
