Household Hazardous Waste Program
The Household Hazardous Waste Program is a joint effort with the City of Fort Worth’s Environmental Collection Center (ECC) located at 6400 Bridge Street in Fort Worth, about 10 minutes from Hurst City Hall. Citizens with a Hurst address on their driver’s license or a current water bill may take those hard-to get-rid-of items such as aerosol cans, old paint, batteries, and used motor oil to the ECC and leave them with a highly trained professional staff for proper disposal or reuse, free of charge. The City is charged per disposal, whether it is one can of paint or fifty cans. As a result, we ask that you collect several items within your household or with your neighbors to dispose of at the Collection Center. For more information please visit our Environmental Collection Center page. Environmental Collection Center hours are Thursday & Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Center's phone number is 817-392-3279.
