To assist our citizens with online exchanges and child custody arrangements, the Hurst Police Department has developed two parking spots, “Exchange Zones,” that are well-lit and are under 24-hour surveillance.

Always keep your safety in mind

If you can’t use the Safe Exchange Zone, please always keep these safety tips in mind.

  • Use a public parking lot that is well-lit and under surveillance.
  • Never go alone, there is safety in numbers!Bring a friend or family member with you.
  • Always let others, friends or family, know where you are going, what you are doing, and what time you are meeting.
  • Don’t meet at your home and never agree to transactions occurring at night.
  • Call 911 immediately in an emergency!
