The Hurst Texas Police Department is a dynamic, full-service police organization comprised of 75 police officers and 47 civilian staff. Each of our employees is dedicated to making a positive difference in our community.  

The success of law enforcement efforts in any community depends largely upon citizen interest and participation.  Community partnership recognizes the value of bringing people back into the policing process with the priority of making the City of Hurst a safer city. Our mission statement, which guides our department philosophy, reads: 

The Hurst Police Department is dedicated to providing exceptional service to its citizens and employees through a problem-solving approach, emphasizing a commitment to "Excellence Through Teamwork."
