Hurst Library Children's DepartmentThe Youth Services Department offers a wide variety of materials and programs for children from birth through high school and their parents to promote a love for books, learning, literacy, and just plain fun. 

Children's Programming

Youth Services also provides a variety of year-round activities including Story Time, Toddler Time, Babygarten, Chess Club and Chapter Chats as well as seasonal offerings such as Summer Reading Club, Train Car Creations and Parade, Puppet People, Boo Books and a Spring Tea to celebrate Children’s Book Week. Just For Kids

Just for Kids HPL Online has a collection of online resources for kids. Young computer users can search the Library's Children's Collection, get help with their homework from live tutors, practice for tests, learn a language, explore the Tumblebook Library of interactive books, and more from the HPL Online Just For Kids page
