With the Hurst Public Library mobile app, you can search the catalog for books, movies, music and more; find other titles by favorite authors; place holds or renew items; scan the barcodes of titles you find elsewhere to see if they're available here for checkout; store your library card numbers in barcode format; find upcoming events and programs; follow our social media posts and discussions; check library hours, location and contact info... all from your mobile device!

Hurst Public Library's official mobile app is designed for library users on the go, providing access to the catalog, your account(s), and other tools for those moments when you discover something you want to read and would like to reserve a copy of it for pick up the next time you're here. CloudLibrary Downloadable eBook/Audiobook Player
  CloudLibrary app turns your mobile device into a fully functional reader/player for eBooks and eAudiobooks in our CloudLibrary collection. Bookmark and save your place in an eBook across devices. Download, play and listen to eAudiobooks offline. CloudLibrary is available at the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore.

Hoopla Digital Mobile App   Hoopla Digital app lets you borrow and play on your mobile device from the collection of movies, music, audiobooks, and television shows available through Hoopla. Titles stream instantly, and are automatically returned at the end of the lending period. Hoopla Digital is available at the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore.

Libby App Downloadable eBook/Audiobook Player for OverDrive
  Libby, by OverDrive is the new mobile app for OverDrive - an online lending platform that provides access to a large selection of downloadable eBooks and Audiobooks. The mobile app serves as an interactive media player for a large portion of the titles in the Library's Overdrive Online Collection. Libby is available at the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore.

PrinterOn Mobile Printing App
  PrinterOn is a mobile app that works with Hurst Library's Mobile Printing Service, which allows you to use your personal computer or mobile device to print to the library’s printers from anywhere. Submit documents for printing, then come to the library within 24 hours to release and pick up your documents. PrinterOn is available at the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore.

Pronunciator App
  Pronunciator is a mobile app that works with Pronunciator - a language-learning service for all ages, all literacy levels, and all 60 of the world's most popular languages. Offering nearly every feature of the Web version, the Pronunciator app is available at the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore.

rbdigital - Mobile app for OneClickdigital and Zinio   RBdigital offers mobile access to downloadable audiobooks and magazines from Recorded Books. The app offers a streamlined interface and consolidated access to the Hurst Library's eAudiobook and eMagazine collections.  The app is available for download in the Google Play Store, the iTunes Appstore, and on Amazon for Fire tablets.

ResumeMaker On-the-Go Companion App
  ResumeMaker On-the-Go is a mobile companion of ResumeMaker Online - a resume creation and management program available to Hurst Library cardholders. With this app you can have an electronic copy of all of your resumes with you at all times! ResumeMaker On-the-Go is available at the Google Play Store.

Tumblebooks Library Mobile App
  Tumblebooks offers access Hurst Library's TumbleBook Library subscription from your Android or iOS device.  This online collection includes fully interactive books for beginning readers, teens and everyone in between - with narration and prompts or not - across a spectrum of interests. The Tumblebooks app is available at the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore.

Tutor To Go Mobile App To Go is the mobile companion for, and the only education app that connects you to an expert tutor for real-time help... the same 3-10pm CST daily availability of live, on-on-one tutors from applies to the app, as well as 24/7 access to the SkillsCenter Resource Library. Aesop For Children
Aesop For Children is an interactive book app created and maintained by the US Library of Congress. It offers access to over 140 classic fables, accompanied by beautiful illustrations and interactive animations. Available at the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore, among others.

BARD Mobile
  BARD Mobile app provides access to talking books from the NLS Braille and Audio Reading Download (BARD) site. BARD contains nearly 65,000 talking books, magazines, and braille music scores, with new selections added daily. With BARD Mobile, you can play talking books and magazines on your Android device.  Available at the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore.

  Bookmyne makes it quick and easy to access the Hurst Library on the go. Designed by the same company that hosts our catalog, this app allows you to search the library’s catalog, download items, manage your account, and find suggested reading on your mobile device. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention
  CDC Mobile provides ready access to the most up to date health information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Enjoy a variety of content such as videos, podcasts, and featured stories, including: CDC Images of the Week, the Morbidity & Mortality Weekly Report, Emerging and Infectious Disease journal, and the latest on Preventing Chronic Diseases.   Dwellr is an app created by the US Census Bureau that provides resources to help you discover the top 25 US cities and towns that best fit your lifestyle based on your preferences. Other features include quick statistics for your current location using your device's GPS, information from the American Community Survey on more than 40 topics from education to commuting, and the ability to share your findings. Kahn Academy
  Kahn Academy allows you to learn almost anything for free. With the mobile app, you have over 10,000 videos and explanations at your fingertips in math, science, economics, history, and much, much more. Bookmark your favorite content, or download it for easy access while offline. The app even syncs with your account, so your progress is always up-to-date. Amazon Kindle App
  Kindle lets you read and/or listen to the millions of electronic books available for free or purchase from Already familiar to owners of Amazon's own product line of Kindle Readers and Tablets, the app makes it available on any Android or iOS device. For Hurst Library users, the Kindle app also makes it possible to read books from the library's OverDrive collection in Kindle format, which increases the selection of available ebook titles substantially! The Kindle app is available at the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore, and baked-in on your  Amazon Kindle Reader or tablet.

NASA app
  NASA mobile app allows users to discover the latest news, tweets, and other featured content from NASA, including: over 16,000 images (and growing), live NASA TV, over 14,000 videos, the latest NASA mission information, live streams from and sighting notifications for the International Space Station, Third Rock Radio, interactive maps, models, and more! Available at the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore.

  Science360 is a mobile app created by the National Science Foundation (NSF). It provides easy access to compelling science and engineering images and video from around the globe, and a news feed featuring breaking news from NSF-funded institutions. Content is either produced by the NSF or gathered from scientists, colleges and universities, as well as NSF science and engineering centers. Available at the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore.

TED app
  TED is the mobile app that allows you to:  browse the entire TED Talks video library, with subtitles in over 100 languages; listen to episodes of the acclaimed TED Radio Hour podcast, a co-production of NPR and TED; bookmark talks, build a playlist, or download video or audio of talks for offline playback; play on your mobile device or send to your TV via Chromecast. USPS Mobile
  USPS Mobile is the official app of the United States Postal Service (USPS). The app provides on-the-go access to popular tools, such as shipping price calculation, find a Post Office, look up a ZIP Code, schedule a next-day pickup, hold mail request, package tracking, digital incoming mail preview, and more. Weather Underground app
  Weather Underground: Forecasts provides mobile access to the world's most accurate hyper-local weather forecasts in addition to interactive radar, satellite maps and severe weather alerts. Powered by a unique community of weather enthusiasts reporting live data from weather stations in their own backyards, this app displays forecast data targeted to your precise location.
