Your anytime, anywhere access to the Hurst Public Library. With your Hurst Library Card, you can utilize a variety of valuable online services and resources whenever and wherever you need it, even on-the-go. All you need is Internet access and a Hurst Library Card.

DIGITAL DOWNLOADS: eBooks, eAudiobooks, Music & Movies
		Cloud Library offers access to hundreds of HPL's downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks to cardholders as well as thousands of available titles from library collections throughout North Texas. We add new material to the collection weekly. The easy to use CloudLibrary App is available in the Google Play Store, the iTunes Appstore, and the Amazon Appstore for Fire Tablets. 		Kanopy offers streaming access to over 26,000 films! You can watch must-see classic films from The Criterion Collection, learn about every subject imaginable from The Great Courses and PBS or indulge in festival indie or world cinema sourced from award-winning filmmakers globally. Kanopy is available as a mobile app at the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore. To watch Kanopy content on your TV, use Google Chromecast or add the Kanopy Channel to your Roku!
		North Texas Libraries on the Go provides access to HPL's OverDrive/Libby collection of downloadable eBooks and audiobooks in a variety of digital formats, as well as a collection of the same shared by several North Texas libraries. The Libby mobile app is available at the  Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore. Kindle versions of titles in this collection work with the Amazon Kindle App, also available in the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore as well as on Amazon's Kindle devices.

REFERENCE & RESEARCH: Information Resources
		Ancestry Library Edition includes records from the United States Census; military records; court, land and probate records; vital and church records; directories; passenger lists and more! Discover your heritage as you use these official documents to fill your family tree. This resource is available only inside the Hurst Public Library.
		EBSCO eBooks Collection contains thousands of e-books covering subjects including juvenile fiction and nonfiction, business, history, adult fiction, computers, travel, health, cooking and more.
		EBSCOhost is an online research platform that offers access to multidisciplinary research content. Researchers of all kinds can find scholarly journals, magazines, e-books and other resources quickly and conveniently using advanced and innovative features for searching, filtering and sharing results, exploring related topics and more.
		Hobbies & Crafts Source is a database from EBSCO containing thousands of articles from top hobby and craft magazines and books as well as recipes, “how-to” videos and hobby profiles.
		Home Improvement Source is a database from EBSCO containing thousands of articles from leading home improvement magazines and reference books, plus a collection of home repair images not found anywhere else online.
		MyHeritage LIbrary Edition is one of the largest, most internationally diverse genealogy databases of its kind in the world. It includes billions of historical documents from over 48 countries, millions of historical photos, public records, indexes and additional resources.
		The New York Times online offers electronic access to NY Times articles and content. Free access is available while in the Library, either on your own device via WiFi or on a Library PC. To get started, Create an account. Remote access (from anywhere) is available via this 72-Hour Access Pass.
		NoveList Plus will help you find the books you love and discover others like them! Find fiction and nonfiction titles for all ages; expert reading recommendations from professional librarians; read-alikes for every title, author, and series; and much more.
		Referencia Latina es una base de datos en español a texto completo que cubre una amplia gama de temas dentro y fuera del ámbito académico. Ofrece contenidos de diversas fuentes, como libros de referencia, revistas de interés general e informes de salud.
		Salem History Online is a robust online database that includes the complete content of the printed Salem Press reference sets available at the Hurst Public Library, making these resources available from any computer with Internet access.
		Small Engine Repair Source is a database from EBSCO containing repair guides covering routine maintenance and complex projects for all major makes and models. Browse a variety of categories — including engine type, brand, model and model number — to find the information you need.
		InterLibrary Loan (ILL) service allows you to borrow books nationwide without leaving your zip code. You can have five active ILL requests per Library card, and items typically take two to six weeks to arrive. View our full ILL policy or call 817-788-7301 for more information.
		TexShare Database Collection is a collection of academic research databases and resources maintained by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. As a TexShare Member Library, the Hurst Public Library is able to provide this wealth of resources as part of a state-wide consortium.

CAREER TOOLS, HOMEWORK HELP & LIFELONG LEARNING
		BlueCareer by EBSCOlearning lets you explore the skilled trades industry, get the training you need, connect with prospective employers, and start your career. Learn about 100+ trades in more than a dozen industries, including pay and career growth data.
		Learning Express Library with Job & Career Accelerator from EBSCOlearning offer access to the powerful tools and expert guidance you need to explore careers, find open positions, apply for jobs and get hired. You'll also find resources to prepare for tests, earn proficiency certifications, and develop skills that can unlock new education and career opportunities.
		ProCitizen is an online course to prepare New Americans for the USCIS Naturalization Test through short videos and interactive quizzes covering the reading, writing, and civics sections of the test. This resource is also available en español.
		Pronunciator is a language-learning service for all ages, all literacy levels, and all 60 of the world's most popular languages, allowing speakers of any of 50 languages the ability to learn any of 60 languages in their native tongue. The Pronunciator mobile app is available for use on Android and iOS devices. This resource is also available en español.
		ResumeMaker Online is an online premium resume builder and career center that allows users to create an account to save work and preferences. Features include a resume and cover letter guide, interview and salary tips, job search tools, and a mobile app that allows you to create, edit, and share your resume on-the-go! The ResumeMaker companion app - ResumeMaker On-the-Go - is available at the Google Play Store.
		Universal Class provides online continuing education courses, complete with streaming video, website avatars, insightful instructional content, helpful tutors, and a social networking experience that offers an engaging and measurable learning experience. With a growing course catalog currently containing over 500 classes, students can master and document their educational goals.
		TexShare Database Collection includes an array of resources job seekers and students of all ages: Learning Express Library for test prep, technology tutorials and more; Chilton Library for DiY auto repair manuals; and reference collections covering every topic, from literacy help to career prep.

JUST FOR KIDS: Online Learning Resources for Children
		GoGo Library offers a collection of nonfiction titles for young readers, covering a wide variety of topics. You can read these eBooks from your Web browser.
		LOTE4Kids is a database that allows kids to enjoy the magic of books in Languages Other Than English (LOTE) both in the library and at home. Kids can also watch each LOTE title translated and narrated in English to help with reading and literacy. For mobile access, download the LOTE4Kids App.
		TumbleBook Library is an online collection of interactive books for beginning readers, including audiobook-style features that will read to - or with - kids as they follow along. The Tumblebooks Mobile app is available at the Google Play Store and iTunes Appstore.
		TexShare Database Collection includes a variety of resources designed for use by younger researchers: Explora-Elementary and Primary Search, to name a few.
