Bluebonnet Reading Club
Caregivers and children in grades 3-6 will read one chapter book on the Bluebonnet Award list each month. We'll meet on the third Tuesday of every month to discuss it. Light refreshments will be served. Registration is required.
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes you can repeat books) before your precious one starts kindergarten. Track on paper or in Beanstack.
Annual Reading Challenge
Your favorite yearly reading challenge is back, and it's better than ever! We’ve got some new prompts, some new prizes, and a new way to participate: you can either go the traditional route with our paper reading log (available at the Info and Youth desks) or go digital with Beanstack! (Hint: if you participated in HEB Reads! Summer Reading Challenge last year, you already have a Beanstack login.)

Early Literacy Program
Preparing children for success by developing early language skills. The Library offers several weekly story times that are targeted at this early literacy age group.
Children's Program
Helping young children build reading and language skills. The Library offers several monthly programs targeted at specific age groups in this range, as well as general family friendly programs that span multiple ages.
Teen Program
Motivating teens to read and discuss literature. Teen programming also encompasses learning important life skills, exploring games and storytelling, and offering volunteer opportunities at Library events.
Adult Program
Encouraging adults to experience the joy of reading. The Library offers book clubs, writing workshops, live music, arts and crafts, movies, and social events, that benefit our local community.
