Thank you for your interest in the City of Hurst Utility Box Art Project! We are excited to see all submissions.

Remember, the theme is “Hurst Space Odyssey," and proposals submitted under the theme can include any design inspired by outer space.

Proposals may include:

Representations of planets, stars, galaxies, or other celestial elements
Imagery inspired by astronomy, exploration, or futuristic concepts
Creative interpretations that capture the feeling or mystery of space
Whimsical or imaginative depictions related to the possibility of extraterrestrial life or other fun cosmic mysteries
Abstract artwork that evokes motion, depth, or cosmic energy

The art should enliven the area, be visible from a distance, and transform utility boxes into eye-catching public art pieces.

All designs should be the original work of the artist. AI-generated designs are not considered original artwork.

I hereby grant the City of Hurst, Texas permission to the rights to use my artwork created for the Utility Box Art Project. I understand that my artwork may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, or distributed. I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my artwork appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of my artwork. I also understand that this material may be used in City of Hurst social media posts. By signing this release, I understand that this permission signifies that my artwork may be electronically displayed via the Internet or in public educational or promotional settings. There is no time limit on the validity of this release nor is there any geographic limitation on where these materials may be distributed.

I affirm that I am at least 18 years of age. By signing this form, I acknowledge that I have completely read and fully understand the above release and agree to be bound thereby. I hereby release any and all claims against any person or organization utilizing this material for the purposes listed above.
