Permitting Process
- The permitting, inspection, and transaction processes are online via the Citizen Self-Service Portal (CSS).
- Create an account * USE COMPANY NAME & COMPANY EMAIL, NOT AN INDIVIDUAL PERSON *
- Submit plans and all necessary documentation in PDF format.
- Fees are invoiced & emailed to you for payment via your account.
- In addition to credit cards, we accept e-checks.

How do I register as a contractor?
- The City of Hurst no longer requires contractors to register annually.
- Contractors will register through EACH permit application, providing a copy of an US issued ID, Trade License (if applicable), and copy of general liability insurance.
What if I was hired as a contractor after the permit was applied for?
The applicant adds the contractor in an existing permit under the “Contacts” tab of the permit summary, and uploads a copy of their U.S. issued I.D. and Certificate of Insurance.
What are my permit fees?
Please see City of Hurst Permit Fees and Requirements and Fee Schedule, or log into the CSS Permit Portal and click on "Estimate Fees".
FAQ: Water heater, water service, and backflow device inspections include customer service inspections.
For Backflow Contractor Registration: Environmental Services or in person at the Hurst Service Center at 2001 Precinct Line Rd.

Massage Establishment Information
The City of Hurst requires existing massage establishments to be registered and inspected annually with the City. There is a $60 registration and inspection fee.
