David Booe

David Booe was elected to the City Council on May 11, 2013, following twenty two years of service on various City of Hurst boards. He was appointed to the Parks and Recreation Board in 1991, serving for sixteen years and then Hurst Planning and Zoning Commission in 2007, serving for six years.

Since moving to Hurst in 1977, he has been active in the community. David coached youth soccer, chaired a group that founded the Hurst Soccer Association and served as its first President. He is a member of HEB Rotary, served as past Chairman of Community Services, Hurst Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association, served as Treasurer and Hurst Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association. He presently delivers Meals on Wheels in HEB.

He started his business career with Texas Instruments after graduating from college with a Bachelor of Business Degree in Management and spent 24 years with the Xerox Corporation in various senior level managerial positions. He became the Southern Region Distribution Manager for ten states. Upon leaving Xerox, he turned to his real interest in the financial services business specializing in retirement planning where he retired.

David and his wife Joy have lived in Hurst thirty six years.
