About Boards, Commissions, and Committees
Advisory boards, commissions, and committees play a vital role in the decision-making and policy-setting processes, which enhance the Quality of Life in Hurst. Issues, projects and programs reviewed by the board, commission and committee members may take hours of deliberation before recommendations are made to the City Council.
Appointments for expired terms are generally made during the June - August time period, and the City Council considers applications on file to fill vacancies on the various advisory boards, commissions, and committees.
If you are a resident of Hurst and interested in joining all of the dedicated citizens who serve on the boards, commissions, and committees, we encourage you to print, complete, and return the application form to: citysecretary@hursttx.gov or to City Secretary's Office, 1505 Precinct Line Road, Hurst, Texas 76054 or fax the completed application to (817) 788-7054.
