Working at the direction of the City Manager and City Council, the City of Hurst Marketing and Communication Division serves as the central point of contact for marketing and communication activities citywide.

The Division is responsible for:

  • maintaining the City website
  • production of the Where We Live magazine
  • City of Hurst social media channels
  • media relations
  • crisis communication
  • cable channel and streaming video
  • production of the Water Quality Report
  • marketing campaigns
  • graphic design
  • advertising
  • video production
  • photography

Hurst Parks Survey

The City of Hurst needs your input! 

Hurst is currently updating its Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan. This document helps the City set priorities for parks, recreation facilities, and open spaces for the next 5-10 years. As a concerned citizen, the City takes your views about parks very seriously, and this survey is an important way to get your feedback. Your responses will be taken into consideration during the city's annual strategic planning and budget workshop meetings. Please complete the survey (18 questions) to share your thoughts.

2:00 p.m. - Easter Egg Hunt Begins.  The Hunt will be divided into four age groups; 2 & under, 3-4, 5-7, 8-10.

City Offices closed for holiday

All non-essential city offices are closed in observance of the Good Friday holiday April 14. 

No emergency services are affected by this closing.  Trash and recycling services are unaffected by this closing.

TEXpress Ramps at Hurstview Drive

Construction has begun for the new on-ramp to the westbound SH 121/183 TEXpress lanes from the westbound SH 121/183 general highway lanes at Hurstview Dr. and the off-ramp from the eastbound SH 121/183 TEXpress lanes to the eastbound SH 121/183 general highway lanes at Hurstview Dr. These ramps are expected to open in summer 2017.
