Responsibilities and Services

Working at the direction of the City Manager and City Council, the City of Hurst Marketing and Communication Division serves as the central point of contact for marketing and communication activities citywide.

The Division is responsible for:

  • maintaining the City website
  • production of the Where We Live magazine
  • City of Hurst social media channels
  • media relations
  • crisis communication
  • cable channel and streaming video
  • production of the Water Quality Report
  • marketing campaigns
  • graphic design
  • advertising
  • video production
  • photography

Street Improvements Beginning August 24

We have partnered with Innovative Roadway Solutions to perform pavement preservation treatments on several streets in Hurst. Work will begin on August 24, 2026 and is estimated to be completed on August 28, 2026. Residents in these areas will receive door hangers with additional information.

The following streets will receive pavement preservation treatment:

  • Melbourne Rd. (from Bradford Dr. to Harris Ave.)
  • 1400 Cardinal Rd. (from 100 Arcadia St. to Dead End)
  • 200 Bradford Ct. (from Bradford Dr. to South End) 
  • 400 Simmons Dr. (from W. Redbud Dr. to 700 Cullum Ave.)
  • Simmons Dr. (from Cullum Dr. to Dead End)
  • 400 Ridgecrest Dr. (from W. Redbud Dr. to Cullum Ave.)
  • Woodside Dr. (from Ridgecrest Dr. to Crosstimber Dr.)
  • Cullum Ave. (from Arthur Dr. to Ridgecrest Dr.)
  • Myrtle Dr. (from W. Redbud Dr. to Cullum Ave.)
  • Anderson Dr. (from 700 Cullum Ave. to Hwy 10)
  • 600 Cedar St. (from 700 Hurstview Dr. to Ridgecrest Dr.)
  • 100 Crosstimber Ct. (from 300 Crosstimber Dr. to West End)
  • 700 Treadwell Dr. (from 200 Anderson Dr. to Precinct Line Rd.)
  • Dorris St. (from Elmview Dr. to S.H. 183)
  • Pamela St. (from Elmview Dr. to S.H. 183)
  • Elizabeth St. (from Elmview Dr. to S.H. 183)
  • Crestwood Terr. (from Hurstview Dr. to Cavender Dr.)
