Working at the direction of the City Manager and City Council, the City of Hurst Marketing and Communication Division serves as the central point of contact for marketing and communication activities citywide.

The Division is responsible for:

  • cable channel and streaming video
  • production of the Water Quality Report
  • marketing campaigns

Shooting Investigation - June 11, 2026

**UPDATE 6/12/26 at 9:15 a.m.**

Based on information developed during the investigation, Detectives believe this incident was a domestic murder-suicide. The investigation remains ongoing pending the completion of all investigative and evidence processing.


On Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 3:21 p.m., Hurst Police and Fire units were dispatched to the 600 block of Bellaire Drive regarding a report of gunshots. A second caller clarified the location to be an apartment in the Whispering Run Apartments. Upon arrival at the apartment, officers found a male and female who appeared to have died from gunshot wounds. At this time, it does not appear that there is a threat to the public. The investigation is active and ongoing.
