Vivagene Copeland Park is located in Southeast Hurst at 501 Pecan Drive.
Open Sunday -Thursday from 6 a.m. - 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6 a.m. - 12 a.m. (Midnight).
Established in 1993 as Bellaire North Park, it was renamed to honor Ms. Vivagene Copeland, a former City Council member. Ms. Copeland served on the Hurst City Council for 10 years, from 1991 to 2001, until she retired. She was instrumental in the development of Bellaire Park North when she noticed that the children in the Park's neighboring apartment complexes had nowhere to run and play. Ms Copeland worked hard to ensure that there were adequate and safe facilities in the part of Hurst for children, as well as families to enjoy.
Vivagene Copeland Park has 1 pavilion for rental to the public. The pavilion holds approximately 35-40 people and comes equipped with 3 picnic tables. All pavilions are under the jurisdiction of the Hurst Parks and Recreation Department and may be reserved on a space available basis.
