Rickel Park is located in southeast Hurst at 1001 Bluebonnet. 
Open daily from dawn to dusk.

The Rickel family purchased Hurst property, including what is now known as Rickel Park, on March 25, 1936. The City of Hurst acquired the park property as a donation in 1986 and officially dedicated it as Rickel Park on April 28, 1990. Various grants and donations have transformed the area into a 29 acre passive park containing 2 pavilions, a playground, 8 picnic areas, a winding stream, and 1 1/2 miles of walking and jogging trails.

Rickel Park has 2 pavilions for rental to the public. These pavilions are Spindle-top, with 2 tables, and Lone Star, with 2 tables, and each holds approximately 35-40 people. All pavilions are under the jurisdiction of the Hurst Parks and Recreation Department and may be reserved on a space available basis.
