Neighborhoods around the city can participate by hosting block parties or cookouts to promote police-community and neighborhood camaraderie.<p><br /></p><p direction-ltr="" align-start="" para-style-body"="">National Night Out is designed to:</p><ul>    <li>Emphasize community members getting to know each other and taking a vested interest in the security of their neighborhood</li>    <li>Promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie</li>    <li>Generate support and participation for local anti-crime programs</li>    <li>Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness</li></ul><p>If you plan to host a neighborhood gathering, be sure to register by visiting <a href="https://www.hursttx.gov/about-us/departments/police-department/community-services/national-night-out" target="_blank">hursttx.gov/NNO.</a><br>Registration is free, and it gives the police department, fire department, and other city representatives an opportunity to attend your community’s gathering.<br><br>We look forward to connecting with you during National Night Out!</p>
