When you donate to the Friends of Hurst Library, you are supporting a 100% volunteer run organization, and all proceeds from fundraisers go directly to the Hurst Public Library to purchase materials and sponsor programs. Monetary donations ensure the Library remains a vibrant part of our community where all citizens and visitors are welcome.
Recent programs and projects include:
- 24-hour drive-up automatic materials handler
- Water bottle filler at the Lobby water fountain
- Petting zoo at the 2024 and 2025 Library Showcase events
In addition to hosting the annual book sale, the Friends collaborate with the Teen Innovation Panel for the holiday "All Wrapped Up" fundraiser, provide holiday decor for the Reading Alcove & Historical Gallery, maintain the Friend's Cafe in the Library Lobby, and provide support at a variety of programs at the Library year-round.
