Doggie Dive-In

Dog swimming image to promote City of Hurst doggie dive-in event August 24, 2019You've enjoyed Central Aquatics Center all summer long and now it's time to let the dogs have a turn!

Admissions is $5/dog.

All owners must show proof of up-to-date rabbies vaccinations upon entering the event. A wavier will be required for all animals entering the facility. To save time, you can print the form ahead of time at here or we will have copies at the gate.

Enjoy $2 off admissions with the donation of one the items below.

Donation Items Include:

*Sealed bags of dog/cat food
*Cat Toys
*Dog Chew Toys
*Blankets (no pillows/sheets please)
All donations collected will be sent to support Hurst Animal Services.

There will be prizes for:
*Best Costume
*Fastest Swimmer (big & small dog groups)
*Best Spirit

Event Rules

  1. All normal pool rules apply. All humans that enter the water must be in appropriate swim attire.
  2. All dogs must be spayed or neutered and have current rabies vaccinations.
  3. Owners are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries/damages caused by them.
  4. Owners must be 18 years and older. Each owner is limited to two (2) dogs.
  5. Children under 10 years of age must be directly supervised by an adult other than the adult watching the dog.
  6. Dogs must be at least 6 months old to swim.
  7. Dogs must be in good health.
  8. Dogs must be socialable and owners must be close by through the duration of the event.
  9. Owners must carry a leash at all times, dogs must be leashed and under physical control when entering and leaving the waterpark.
  10. Owners of aggressive dogs will be asked to leave the discretion of the event organizers Event organizers have the right to remove any dog or owner.
  11. All dogs must wear a collar. No choke or pinch collars are permitted in the pool.
  12. Owners must clean up after their dogs. Bags will be provided.
  13. Please help your dogs in and out of the pool. Please do not trim your dog’s nails before the event.
