Crime Statistics

Print

All Hurst crime statistics are based on Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) which is a city, county, and state law enforcement program administered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The program provides an overall, standardized view of crime based on statistics submitted by law enforcement agencies across the country. Law enforcement agencies use UCR to collect crime data which assists with planning, budgeting, resource allocation, assessment of police performance, and the evaluation of experimental programs.
